Last up for this year

If the world did end at 21st of December... I must have missed it. After that day we (in Finland/Funland at least) had a couple of so beautiful days, I could not believe my eyes. Let's hope it's better this way. A new start, right?

Seriously... this update is mostly going to be a check-back to a day last month: 28th of November. I've got so much things to worry about, I haven't had the time to update. Kind of feel bad about it, but I've been stressing so much over my school. Yeah, I could explain how sorry I am and give you some sad-ass reasons "why" all day. But I'm not going to. I will gladly take a trip back to that very evening last month...

I was sitting in my livingroom, trying to relax and went through my Twitter-account when I got across with this tweet from Jack the Rooster (Tweet: @jacktherooster_) rock&kitchen: "Kymppiburgereita!!! Tänään!!! Illemmalla the Stone Crows! Olet tervetullut!" (Burgers for 10€!!! Today!!! And later tonight the Stone Crows! You're welcomed!")
I called my good friend and told her we really needed to go. We had been planning a night out at Jack the Rooster already, but haven't decided when to go. Now that I found out the Stone Crows  were playing, I really, really, really wanted to go - so bad! My friend was in the second I asked her. So we went. I told her she needed to see this band: I had seen them twice earlier that year, and was excited to hear their music again.

When stepping into Jack the Rooster we were surprised how empty it was, but decided it was good at first, because now we could pick where we wanted to sit. We spent the night waiting for the band to step on stage. And let me tell you, it was worth it. Once they had set their instruments and all, I felt like standing on fire. For sure, I just couldn't wait for them to start.
When the high energy rock started I just couldn't stop smiling. I really enjoy their music, and that's alot. Most bands have one, two or three songs I like, but the Stone Crows... I just didn't want them to stop playing. I changed my viewing position many times during the gig. As there were not that many people still (witch I think was crazy!), I could get to some excellent spots to take some photos. I couldn't stand still, and felt like I'm the only one going totally nuts over their music. I was jamming to the beat, held my fist in the air and waved my hair as big as I could. I had so much fun during that show. It's the least to say that I was rather sad when they called: "this is the last song of the night".

Well, I guess I've grown a little bolder when it comes to bands I really like. After the guys of the Stone Crows stepped off the stage I went to them to thank for the rocking night. They were grateful that me and my friend had come to listen to them. Mr Mojo Mäkinen told me they had been lazy when promoting this gig at the Rooster, so he was not that surprised there was not so big of a crowd. I told him how I found out, and that I just couldn't miss them again. He was rather impressed, I think, at least that's how he looked like.

Me and Mr Mojo chatted something, when he told me they're releasing a demo/debut LP in the begunning of December. I ended up confessing that I know the guy who's been doing their demo cover, he is my classmate/friend. Mr Mojo invited me to come to their releasing party, and I told him I'd do everything in my power to get there, I really wanted that LP. I just wasn't sure if I could make it. He told me it's not that big of a deal if I can't make it. He could pass one debut LP to my classmate and tell him to bring it to me. I just wanted tu hug him for that - but didn't after all.

the Stone Crows
Sweet&Sour Sam: Bassguitars, bg vocals/screams
Mr Mojo Mäkinen: Vocals, guitars
Jokke-setä: Vocals, guitars
Jay Sapmaster: Drums
I'm really grateful to him for doing that, and there's a good reason: I couldn't get to the releasing party. Gladly I got the LP later on from my classmate, as he got his hands on it.

I have to say, I found my favorite from their demo LP immidiately when it started to play: Lucy's Furs. Such a stunner! Though I like all the four songs they have on the demo album... I really lost my heart to that particular song. Go listen some songs from here: https://soundcloud.com/thestonecrows

Whoah. I'm totally sorry it took me this long to "report" about this awesome band. But heyy, better late than never. Right?

Something I can't live without just now...
Well, I'd say that's all I got time for now. Need to get going, because I'm heading to theatre tonight. Finally I'll get to see "Veriveljet", starred by Jussi Selo. Been waiting for this quite a while. Iiii! ;)

Have a luxurious New Year you all!
