Here we go again...!!

Whoa, I've been feeling pretty powerless the last weeks. Been on a sick leave and all... After stressing out on my final work at school, I haven't had time to update a thing. Been thinking about it alot, and was supposed to do many different posts. But here we are now. The year is almost over, and I've had hard time being on computer. There's nothing left to say - other than I'll push these past gigs in one (short texted?) update. Then I'll just sit back, try to relax, and welcome the New Year 2014 - and its gigs-to-come - with a smile on my face.
Thank you all who have been making my year 2013 a wonderful one! Hope to see you next year again ;)

"Maitoa, Metukkaa ja Pepe" - a perfect day in Kuopio

Yeah, well that might not open to everyone, but please forgive me. It's a funny little inside joke, so you'd really need to belong to my closest inside group to know the meaning of that. I know some will laugh their arses off! ;)

15th of November was a great double gig day for me, in the best company I could ask for. I had a handful of my bestest mates with me the whole day. It was pure paradise, once we get passed the stumbling start of the day.
First We went to a mall called "Minna", to see Reckless Love play an acoustic set. The scene was rather weird, but oh well, we went to enjoy the music and hang with friends. So we got what we wanted. I even got something more, I guess. As I was leaving the mall I turned to see where two of my friends were: I almost bumped into Reckless Loves mixer! "HUI-hei" ("YIKS-hi"), was my outcome, and Janne laughed at me replying: "Hui, hui" ("Yiks, yiks"). :'D It was kind of... Hilarious! I was paniclaughing for some time afterwards!
We finally got to my friends place (where we slept the next night) after it all, and started to relax between the two shows. We hang out, talked about -stuff- and laughed alot. We had a great time. It even included the yell of "metukkaa!!", and a falling milk glass with a ninja-like avoiding move and all! You can't understand it, I can't explain it. It was way too fine... And got us all five laughing - almost rolling on the floor with laughter! You won't believe how fun that was, because it was SO CLOSE!
By the evening we went to Henry's Pub to see Reckless Love play again. This time the show was electric - in every meaning of the word! :D I had so much fun! It all was just way too incredible to be discribed! I know it sounds awefully alot - too much even... But for me - it was almost the most perfect show Reckless Love could play. I really had a good time <3 I have to say, I absolutely adore hanging with those couple of friends I had with me that night. They somehow pull out the best of me, and I love them for that. I did break to tears, and I don't know why, but I'm gald I had my girls with me. They kept me going, and I could enjoy the show. :)
Just before we were about to leave, over an hour after the show had ended, Pepe came to greet us from the backstage. He noticed I had stolen his sunglasses from the stage, and told me they looked good on me. He let me keep them, laughing how they were not that good-looking on him. I can't say about that, but I was happy to have the glasses. It was a cute, and surprising thing for Pepe to do. :3
I had such perfect time in Kuopio for that whole day. It was like a dream I never wanted to end. So a huge thank you to you all who were there with me that night (and day)! <3

Oh look,! It's Giorgio!

Next stop on my rocking road was at Kouvola, House of Rock -bar, on November 22nd. Reckless Love again, for sure, as Santa Cruz had no gigs in Finland before December. :P the Recku boys played a good show at Kouvola, too. I had some laughs with Olli, as I was trying to take a shot of him, and he suddenly moved. He noticed it, and grinned at me funnily through the crowd. I could do nothing but laugh. :) Hessu Maxx was on fire, beating his drums like a devil! Jalle played his thunder-like bass like a king! And Pepe - well OH! Pepe was super awesome! Like always. He encouraged me to howl more and louder, as I started to do so during one more quiet moment, and he noticed me doing so. I could say it was fun for both of us. ;)
After the show, the whole Reckless -gang came to meet and greet their fans. I was disappointed I didn't get a short moment with Olli then, but I met all the others. Pepe came to me and my sister himself, without asking again. He just pushed his way through the crowd, and complained how we always hide somewhere in the backround. We had one of our "gay hugs" again, though Pepe was laughing how supergay it was: two girls and a guy. He did understand my point of view, as I told him how I call group hugs as gay hugs. "So do we"(meaning the Reckless Love boys), he said, and got me laughing. I guess I've learned it from them, then. Pepe managed to spend some time with us, chatting, laughing and telling some stories. It was the best moment of that night <3 I also had some funny moments with Jalle, as I took photos of him and my friends. He was like the cutest thing on two legs :''D I don't understand these guys!
And Hessu! My God, Hessu made me laugh inside so HARD! :DDD
Hessu was about to go backstage, and saw me sitting on a couch, holding my folder and going through my drawings. He came "unnoticed" to check them out. He saw one with a guy strapped in a straitjacket. I asked if he wanted to see more. "No, nope thanx, no more for me", he replied jokefully, so I pulled out one old work of mine I had just brought to life by digipainting it. He came close to see it better and then started to make different questions about it. He realized one of the two figures was Pepe, but the other he did not recognize. He said it could be himself, in a sort of shy pose (it's actually an arrogant pose, Hessu! xD) I told him the other guy wasn't from Finland at all. He replied "Oh, he's some Giorgio from Southern Italy!", and then he walked away. I could say nothing, I was almost suffocateing into my laughter x'DDD Giorgio!!

Let's keep it Rocking!

The next day - November 23rd - I travelled to Mikkeli to party with my sister, one good friend of ours, and of course with Reckless Love (as the mighty ROCK-jukebox of ours)! We were joined by another friend before the gig started, and we made sure we'd have places in the front row. I got myself a place really close to Olli, so I was almost at the middle. A little to the left side this time - closer to Jalle :)
I got some superb shots of Jalle and Hessu during this gig. It was a good change, so all my friends don't have to laugh how many Pepe photos I have. What can I say.... he's my idol. Why wouldn't I take shots of him? ;) It was great to be in the front row again, as in Kouvola I was further away from the stage. It was so rocking awesome! The show took over me, and after all - I can hardly remember being pushed to the railing so hard I couldn't breathe. The whole show was so exciting and compelling, I could not let that ruin my night. I got out of it alive, so all is good, right? :'D
After the show I tried once again to get to talk with Olli, but I couldn't catch him. I'm glad I was lucky enough to be noticed by Pepe again. I asked if he'd have a moment with me, when he has time and he nodded at me. A little while later he started to talk to me, and - well... He really pulled me out of that dark hole I was in with my final work before graduating. He gave me some great advice, and was happy to help me out. I can not thank him enough for what he's done for me. He has no idea how much I appreciate his actions. It might seem small for him, but if it wasn't for his actions, I'd be stuck still! :3

One more Reckless time now <3

The final Reckless Love show of 2013 was kept in Huittinen, Seurahuone, 30th of November. There was no question was I going to go there or not. It was a must-see show :) I took my best friend with me, to show her what I'm always talking about. I'm happy to say she liked it. ;) I mean, she's not a rocker, she's something so different. But she doesn't dislike Reckless Love, she can listen to them, but she... Umh, well. She once said to me she's rather a fan of Ollis way of dressing and looking good - and a fan of Pepes hair (like me), but the music is kind of so-and-so thing. After the Huittinen show she told me I should make her listen to Reckless Love more often, so that next time we go on a gig together she can sing along. She made me the happiest girl in the universe :D
I'm sorry to say the show place was poorly organized. It closed up three hours earlier than supposed to, because of some sort of misunderstanging among its staff (or something - I'm not sure what the hell happened). It wouldn't have been so bad of a thing - BUT! We saw Pepe and Olli really quickly, as they were going to their hotel rooms. We greeted them and I tried to talk with Pepe, but someone opened a door between us, and Pepe was pushed to walk through it. He said "We'll be back soon. We'll just take these things to our rooms...", so I thought he wanted to talk with us, and perhaps meet my friend I was about to introduce to him. Sadly the boucer came to "kick" us out before Pepe made it back to us. So this last gig left a little bitter taste in my mouth, though the show itself was to die for - and I had my best friend with me. - She actually said I could tell the guys they might have a new fan-to-be in their crowd now. That's what I'm happy about :3

Uh-oh! It's time to get the Party Started!

I have been missing the Santa Cruz guys pretty bad. I last saw them at Tammela, the 8th of October! So no surprise I really needed to make it to YO-talo (4.12.2013), when the boys took over Tampere. Me and my sister took our places from the side of the stage, standing next to Johnny. It was a little difficult spot to shoot photos from but so what. We saw the guys again, and it was worth it!
The show was as super as it could be - like the Cruz shows always are. I had so much fun - avoiding getting the guitars directly into my eyes again ;D That is the only bad thing about the front row. My sister got a hit from Archies guitar on her forhead, so it's not always just me who's in the danger zone! Hahahaa! x) But as I said - the close contacts with the guitars don't matter. The show was steaming, and I really had a blast staring at those talentet young men again. It's always party time when they're on stage!!
After the show was over I was sitting on the edge of the stage wondering how marvellous the show had been. Johnny came to put away his gear, and I greeted him. He chatted with me and my sister as he was packing up his things. We somehow got into speaking about their UK-tour and he confessed it was almost weird to go without us being on every gig they played. It was one of the sweetest things anyone could tell us! <3 I had a nice evening chatting with the rest of Santa Cruz gang too. Taz and Archie both petted my head when they passed me from the stage, and Middy told us he's a little hippie as he was drawing some extra art nex to his autograph. It was an evening to remember. Even more as the guys invited us to the "after party" - to hang at Jack the Rooster with them :D Nice!

The last before Christmas

So, now it's the time for the last of the "actuall" shows of the year 2013. It was a show at Helsinki (18.12.) - a show that included three bands: Hunter, Face of God, and Santa Cruz. I went to see the Cruz boys, of course, but was happily surprised as the two other bands were worth seeing too. Hunters reminded me a little of Michael Monroe - the stage show was partly similar - and it was huge fun! I'm really happy I saw them play. :D Face of god was different - just three rockers on stage, and a whole different energy. I had a great time during their show, it was so....something else. ;)
And then there were the Cruz boys. Just as perfect as ever! The show was hilarious! xD The guys were freaking out in a good way the whole night. It was a fully special night, as the encore song "Bad Reputation" started and Archie invited the audience on stage. Johnny came to pick my sister up, to get her on stage. I was laughing with surprise - and was rather glad to have the permission to stay on ground. I taped the last song with my
camera, and kind of managed to capture the crazyness there was. :D Though I have to admit, I still don't understand how the Cruz guys have the nerve to do such things. I'd be too afraid some dumbass would break my gear. They're not cheap you know? o.O But no matter what, the show was marvellous and full of surprises - and even included the single Santa Cruz will be releasing the next February (so I've been told). It was... AHHH! I can't find words to describe it all! It was just pure .... AHHH!! <3

The Local Band

Haha, yeah!! I really had to see this thing. It was a one-time-band that only played one show at Tavastia on 27th of December. The assembly was too neat: Alexi Laiho - Guitar, Jussi69 - drums, Archie Cruz - bass, Olli Herman - vocals. I honestly could not miss this one!!
And I have to tell you - it was freaking worth it!!!
Tavastia was opened by Mauron Maden that night. I was a little sceptic about them, but was glad to be proven wrong. They were good. I only hoped people would have warmed up to them more quickly, so they'd got the greetings they decerved. The second band was called Sleep of Monsters. From that band - I didn't know what to expect. After all I think I was waiting for too much. I loved the fact they had violin on stage - and also some backround singers. But otherwise, I wasn't impressed at all. The act was rather dull, though I liked how the light made the keyboard player look like a fairytail creature :D
The night was even more special to me, as I noticed Pepe was there to see Olli perform. I went to greet him, and I guess I surprised him pretty good. But he was okay with it, and just asked how I was doing. I answered I was all good, wished him a great night, left him to watch the show in peace, and got back to my viewing place (I had a better spot I think ;D Haha!)
Finally when it was time for The Local Band to jump on stage .... Tavastia was packed full! The show was sold out, as every one wanted to see that spectacular show. I know how that feels. I needed to be one of those to witness it all!! And it was CRAZY good! Completely from outer space xD Jussi69 in drums and Alexi Laiho in guitar - I'd never seen them live before. It was huge! It was splendid! With Archie in the bass, and of course with Olli screaming the lead vocals... It was just way too stormy and breath taking to be real! I'm superhappy it was real after all! <3 It just blew me away!!
I'm sorry, I can't even put it to words. It was undiscribeable. It was hysterical. It was just so awesome!!
It was the most amazing way for me to end this year. So thank you The Local Band - Olli, Jussi, Arttu and Alexi - it was (*hysterical screaming*) !!!!!

Now I can only wait for the New Year. I'm sitting here in my hotel room at Levi, waiting for the evening to see at what time will Reckless Love concure the stage of Hullu Poro Areena (crazy reindeer arena). I will spend my change of year ROCKING IT BIG! I hope (bet) it will be like a whole stage full of fireworks!!

Thank you all for the year that has come to pass now. I hope you have an amazing year 2014!! <3

Happy New Year! ;)
